I am posting this for a colleague not on Lactnet. Any input would be appreciated-
I am wondering if anyone has any experience with mastitis in an infant BEYOND the neonatal/newborn period?
10-month old presented with fever, irritability and breast lump, which eventually abscessed and ruptured – took a while on antibiotics to resolve. Was NOT MRSA.
Thanks,
