Its nice to have the easy answer "you say you can't but you can", but I deal
with way too many people who end up homeless, or without basics like phone
or gas, even though they both work (they spend what little money they earn
on frivolities like food, diapers and safe daycare).  It is the hardest
thing in the world to watch - in many cases, dad has two or three jobs while
mom has one (I would like to send them back to school so that they can
actually get decent jobs, but when would they find the time?)

Being middle class IS a luxury if you are the working poor.
