Hi all.  Just had to chime in here.  When my son began cutting teeth the
pad on his thumb split open and refused to heal.  (He's been a thumb-sucker
since before he was born!)  A friend of mine who runs a pump rental station
gave me some samples of the extra-pure-refined lanolin to try.  I must say
that the change was quite remarkable.  Within 24 hours the split had closed
and was beginning to lose it's angry red coloring.  He never objected to
the taste (yes, it was his sucking-thumb) and seemed much more comfortable
with his thumb healed.  I have never used it on nipples, but it works
wonders on thumbs!  ;-)
