I love this position and women are telling me that they like it a lot  
because it is so comfortable. Working pretty well for flatter nippled women too. 
 Have not tried it for inverted nipples, but definitely for those "shy 
nipples"  that retract with areolar compression.  Some times we have to get bit  
creative for supporting the very large pendulous breast. I find that the  
woman's own arm or sometimes a rolled up towel to sort of lift the breast  up 
helps. Also, once in a while I do have the women shape the nipple  areola 
into the "nipple sandwich". but don't really like to be messing with  the 
baby's natural instinctive behaviors with fingers in the way.
