I agree with Lisa, this story takes the cake, but in my book it's the vet's
receptionist's response that's the prizewinner...
what on EARTH does it matter to the receptionist whether your kitten is
weaned or not?   The admonition 'Get a life!' springs unavoidably to mind.

Sheesh.
Double sheesh.

I once had two cats, littermates, and one was the runt.  For several years
she enjoyed suckling on her brother's digital pad, on his forepaws(the one
that would be a thumb if cats had thumbs).  Sometimes the smacking noises
would even keep me awake at night.  Classic example of damage from human-led
weaning, IMO.
