Poor baby.  I cringed  for the little guy when I read your post  and other
babies like him must be so confused when painful procedures are done  to
them and in their mind no one was there to prevent it.  I'd suggest CST  or
some type of somato emotional release for him and for mom to wear him during
the day and co-bed with him at night.  Perhaps one of the Bach remedies
could help, specific to fear, abandonment.  If it is physical pain there  are
homeopathic remedies for healing like calendula and arnica that could be  used
or better still a homeopath prescribing would be best.  In my opinion  this
baby needs to regain trust and being with mommy, more nursing, and
understanding that it will pass once baby can process it may help mom to
understand.
