Ok, probably a crazy question here... what's the fear? Just that the mom
who did express the milk "may" be sick? It's daycare right? so the mom who
is short one feeding for her baby was also likely to have been notified, in
the interest of doing what's best for the baby and in this case, probably
the mom's mental health, why not just get the two mothers together?? While
I personally would not object to my baby being nursed by another mom, as
long as I approved of the mom, I would just want to know who's milk was
going into her body. We have such public hysteria over everything these
days. Maybe I am trying to simplify it too much, but if I were in this
situation, I would be more concerned if this mom had chocolate the night
before she pumped (my baby has a gassy belly when I indulge), than I would
about AIDS. How likely is it that the daycare owner wouldn't know if this
mom had it? Just my thoughts. I am not at all trying to disregard the mom
in this case, I just think it's a rush to judgment when the easiest remedy
may be to get to know this other mother, they are both moms working and
pumping, doing what's best for their babies.
