O.K., the good news is that getting winded when I pushed a stroller
containing ninety pounds of child to the park does not mean I am out of
shape.
The bad news is that I am on Amoxicillin, and Fluticasone and Salbutamol
inhalors. Have checked Hale from last year (I was up-to-date for such a
short time!) and can't find Salbutamol; drug store leaflet says "Do not
breast-feed" but it does on everything I've taken in the last year
except Motilium. Doctor was BF-friendly so I doubt it's a problem. The
other thing is that both the doctor and pharmacist said to rinse my
mouth out well (with water, I presume, wouldn't mouthwash be defeating
the purpose) after taking Fluticasone to avoid thrush. Does anyone have
any other ideas to help prevent what looks, at this point, inevitable
with antibiotic and steroid treatments? I know to avoid sugar, and
vinegary/acidic diets have prevented thrush from progressing in me
numerous times, but aside from this and acidophillus is there anything
else? Is it worth using gentian violet as a preventative measure? (Guess
that wouldn't make sense; this would be in my mouth not Naomi's). BTW,
Naomi is 1 yr., frequent nurser but happy with solids too.
Sorry to be too lazy to look at archives thoroughly. This is wiping me
out, and my husband's still away.
Jo-Anne
