Thank you so much for giving a different viewpoint - namely for telling us all 
why you deem the IBCLC credentials valid as a physician.  I personally think it 
is wonderful that an MD took the extra time to learn more about lactation.  
The public generally sees Drs as the "Ones who know best" and if getting the 
certification demonstates to your colleagues and the public that you DO know 
best, then bravo.  I wish more Drs would do the same.
