I think I accidentally found this person's business web site.

www.breastfeedingmatters.com

I found a name at the very bottom of the section called "my articles". What
I found were touching 'new mom' stories, but very little factual info about
credentials, qualifications, and 'helping' experience.

This person has LOTS of links to articles and resources and many web-ring
memberships and web-site awards. Is it true that the 'linker' must or
should get permission from the 'linkee'? Some of you with long-standing web
sites might want to check this out. I believe she started this site in
Dec'01.

I don't know if auctioning consult time is unethical by strict
interpretation of our standards of practice or code of conduct. I haven't
personally examined them since Mary posted to form my own determination.

It has been legal for legal and medical practitioners to advertise their
services for many years now, (courtesy of Arizona attorney Van O'Steen, ASU
law school grad who argued this topic before the US Supreme Court) but they
can't promise a specific outcome. I don't remember what the rules are about
quoting fees for services in ads. I don't recall seeing any fees in any
lawyer or doctor ads. Certainly super discounts like these don't help those
private practice LCs who need to reach the good side of breaking even in
order to keep their doors open. On the other hand, seeing mom & babe in
person is priceless.
