Well, not in my experience. Maybe the very large dairies do this but
most of the dairy herds I worked with feed calves cow milk, it won't be
their mother's milk, but milk from other cows whose milk is not destined
for the bulk tank or just kept out for feeding the calves. Milk replacer
is very expensive and the calves seem to do better on fresh cow milk.
