Hello!

Does anyone have some current recommendations on the best medications for a mother who may be having an allergic response to the hormones of breastfeeding? This mama is already two months postpartum but is still having a severe reaction while feeding/pumping (she describes it as a full body hot flash which includes feeling like every inch of her itches). She has put up with it since delivery and is trasitioning her premature twins to exclusive breastfeeding but is deperate for refief. She does not want to take something that will make her drowsy. I know that this is a unique situation if she truly has BFA, but I am hoping that something to help supress the histamine response will help. I would love any suggestions or resources that you have so that I can provide her with more information.

Thank you!
