Hey Jaye, Well, it is good she got her liver checked, but too bad she had to
stop the diflucan.. It can be toxic to the liver...

As far as MRSA, if she has no active lesions or symptoms, I should be okay to
breastfeed. But if she has a lesion or boil that could pose a problem with
baby. I guess the doctor was aware and has treated her appropiately with
antibx.. Is that why the yeast is so bad.. Are we talking about the same pt?
You have too many to remember. I have been meaning to talk to the
infection control people at my hospital. When I have something concrete I will
pass it on. MRSA is becoming increasingly common among the general public.
Too bad it is nasty stuff. The Group B strep was the one cultured from my
friends sister from her breast and was told not to breastfeed with her next
baby...She is pregnant now.

Thanks,
Robin
