Besides hitting the medical schools and the nursing schools perhaps breastfeeding advocates need to start going to the marketing classes and ad agencies. Maybe the ad agencies that come up with this stuff also have the formula accounts! I once wrote a suggestion to Haagen Dasz (my favorite ice cream) regarding an ad campaign showing a breastfeeding mother with a caption or voice over saying something like "the only thing better than our ice cream is mothers milk". I received a letter back stating that they don't take suggestions for ads due to some legal reason. I was saddened to hear a couple of years later that they had been taken over by (Nestle or another corporation which also sells formula, American something or other ?)
