If there is such a thing as Consumer Reports on scales - look at repair rates. I've found that recall and repair really increase the cost of an item. When it's critical to my life (job or home) I buy the best available because in the end it is cheaper.

Anyone has ever heard the KERN MBC 15K2DM or the KERN MBB 15K2DM?

They are much cheaper than the Tanita, less than half the money... almost affordable!

Thanks for the help.
