Hello wise ones

I am trying to find research on the calorie content of breast milk in comparison to formula

I was hoping that Dr Nancy Wright Neonatologist might be reading Lactnet and make some suggestions.

The usual practice where I work, if a baby needs a supplement, the MAGIC volume starts at 30 mls.

Is the calorie content of Formula lower than Breastmilk. Is there any research around this very emotional topic. I am working very hard to try to convince staff that less volume is better, but I also need research.

Sincerely

June Nicholls
