Michelle, is this when mother is reducing the *number* of bottles per day,
or with the same number? I remember checking a formula can once to check if
bottle-fed babies increase their intake over time, and it seemed to go up a
little, but not a lot. But it recommended that the number of bottles reduce
to something like 4 per day (I think - it's a while ago now and I may not
recall very well!) after about 5 months and the amount per bottle does
increase to compensate.

If you read the data, it is the same amount per day, not per kg. Good
thought, but sorry! This is what astounded me when I first heard it too. I
admit it is puzzling and a bit challenging.
