See how clueless I am about this 'problem'? Here I thought it involved
actually spitting up. How is it usually determined that the cause of a
baby's distress is reflux? Are there x-ray or ultrasound studies done,
showing backflow or the like? Or is it a judgment call, based on a
clinician's interpretation of what parents report the symptoms to be? Is it
something else altogether?

Just did a search for Zantac, which is available under that name here as
well. Not recommended for BF mothers as it passes into milk, it says in our
reference work. Also not mentioned in connection with infant GER. But it
must be only a matter of time before GlaxoSmithKline sees the opportunity to
sell it to breastfed children.

Again, I am not aware of any babies here who are treated for reflux. Sorry
for my confusion about the clinical picture. Chalk it up to cultural
misunderstanding.
