I've personally had to do gv several times and have never had it last more
than a day after the 3rd day of treatment.  I wouldn't worry aobut it.

Also, ime, I've never had it stain my clothing.....i just stain treat as
usual with a bit of liquid detergent, then launder...no bleach or anything.
