"PTP ... I recently saw a mom with breast implants who is not succeeding at
pumping. She can hand express plenty of milk. She was able to breastfeed
her first child before the surgery. She has a First Years miPump. She was
not happy with the Medela Pump In Style with her last pregnancy. She is
going back to work, so she needs to figure this out. I have done some
research and have not found much information. I would love feedback and/or
some references.

The First Years miPump is the worst pump I have ever seen.  It doesn't suck; we tested it.  Just about ANY other pump is better than this one.  She might like a manual pump or a Bailey, since it gives the mother full control over the suction.

Also, what is she doing with her hands while pumping?  She will likely get more milk if she massages her breasts before and during pumping, though that's tough to do with a Bailey.

Is there a reason she does not wish to hand express?  Since it's working so well for her, why change?

Is the baby breastfeeding?  Why is she pumping?
