Hello Wise Lactnet family.

Back ground info. Mother with a confirmed ectopic pregnancy and
breastfeeding a 22 month old, throughout the day and night. Mother
concludes she can not hand express milk and does not hear her daughter
swallow.

Mother is about to take (after much discussion and research) Methotrexate
50mg/m2 IM.

I'm struggling to give this mother consistent information. Hale Recommends
no breastfeeding for 4 days with this dosage but does not give any answers
if it is dependant on the age or how much the child is breastfeeding.

Other places with lower dosage say that the Methotrexate can hardly to be
detected, which makes sense . But why no breastfeeding for 4 days.

T 1/2 = 8-15 HOURS  (mmm2012)
Tmax = 1-2   HOURS

I would like to know if anyone has experience this or something similiar
and the mother is asking when the peaks times would be to not BF her 22
month old.

Thank you in advance
