Hello-
I'm interested to hear anyone's experiences assisting mothers breastfeeding and fasting during Ramadan. Some my Muslim clients believe their milk "goes away" while fasting. Perhaps this is somewhat true due to the restricted caloric intake? It certainly seems challenging to breastfeed exclusively while feeling exhausted and hungry much of the time, yet the practice is nothing new. Some of you must know more about this than me. Please share so I can better support these mothers.
Thanks,
