The Sears's have a church curriculum (it is available through lifeway
publishing, a Baptist publishing house here in the US. It is available
online, I think.) It is a little dated (the video is at least) but it
incorporates breastfeeding, cosleeping, gentle discipline, etc. in a
Christian perspective. Their Christian parenting book is good, too--he
addresses concerns with the Ezzo stuff pretty head-on while not mentioning
it by name. From a Christian perspective it is quite conservative, and they
actually deal with scripture a whole lot better (i.e. honestly) than the
Ezzo's materials do.

Aside from the horrific and dangerous parenting advice the ezzos give, there
are two points that you could bring out:

In some churches, using the Ezzo curriculum has set up a "in group" and an
"out group" of parents. Folk whose babies sleep through the night and stay
in the nursery are in some way better Christians than those whose babies are
high need, etc. I think some of the website links document this. VERY non
biblical (not unlike the early debates in the Christian community re:
Gnosticism, circumcision, and eating meat offered as sacrifice, etc.)

Another thing to emphasize is that they have been kicked out of their church
and basically founded their own--because the elders in their church were
concerned about the biblical basis of their teachings. This is documented
on the web.

Hi Everyone, I normally lurk on Lactnet. I was discussing with our Pastor
the negative effects of Gary Ezzo's parenting courses on breastfeeding.
Our Pastor is looking a the Ezzo's series for our church and I expressed my
concerns against doing this course. He is open and would consider other
options - Is anyone aware of any good Christian parenting courses available
as an alternative?
