Dear all:

Perhaps I was mistaken. Perhaps I misread something. However, I was under the impression that we
were not allowed to advertise on Lactnet. That means to promote a product that will generate an
income for a a for profit institution or sell a product for ourselves.

I have never seen a formula advertisement on Lactnet. I have never seen a pump company
representative on Lactnet. I have never seen a Pump Company representative on Lactnet. I have
never seen a bottle company representative on Lactnet. I have seen people apologize when they talk
about a product and they clearly state that they have no financial interest in the product. I have seen
people use initials when talking about a product. I have seen one person who sells breastfeeding
products provide a critique of why she cannot endorse a particular product on Lactnet - and that's
about it.

I guess the rules have changed or they were not what I thought they were. If it is true that for profit
institutions are allowed to give self-endorsements of their own services or products on Lacnet, this
listserve is not what I though it was.

Best regards, Susan Burger
