I agree, Rob, but the problem is, the mother can't always differentiate
between "complaining" and "needing to eat."  What this baby did when the pain
got severe was not complain, but shut down.  "What a GOOD baby!"

As I posted the response to this, I remembered that this had happened to the
baby that was my OB Case Study in nursing school -- anyone remember them?
So, I've now seen it 3 times in 32 years.

Yowee -- that's more years than a lot of you are OLD!  So while it certainly
isn't common -- how many circumcised baby boys have I seen in my 32 years --
it can happen.
