Dr. Broda Barnes mentioned heart attacks as a result of hypothyroidism
in
his book "Hypothyroidism, the Unsuspected Illness."

70% of US public water supplies are now fluoridated. Fluoride
medications
were used to slow hyperactive thyroids before radioactive iodine.
Therefore, fluoride has been known to have this effect for several
decades.

Hypothyroidism can be another effect from lack of breastfeeding. High
cholesterol and obesity are two conditions resulting from
hypothyroidism.
Recent newspaper health articles suggest thyroid levels be immediately
tested when elevated cholesterol presents.

My eldest daughter, who was diagnosed hypothyroid at age 16, had high
cholesterol, over 240 from about age 10 on (could have been even earlier
age but we did not know) and her pediatrician had no clue why. Her
cholesterol levels normalized on thyroid replacement hormone.

Look around at high schools and see the thin crown hair on both girls
and
boys these days. Some boys are already bald at graduation at age 18.
That wasn't the case when I went to high in the early 60's.
Hypothyroidism?

As I said before, breastfeeding protects infants' thyroids from the
assault of formula made with fluoridated water, which is over 100 times
more fluoride potent than human breast milk, the "gold standard."
Babies
thyroid levels become depressed while they get this formula. Dr. Hardy
Limeback, a dentist in Toronto Canada, now tells new moms that if they
formula feed to buy non-fluoridated bottled water to make up baby
formula
and not use Toronto city tap water.

Thyroid Medication

Drinking a cup of tea with fluoride content as mentioned above (7.8mg)
would
mean a fluoride intake much higher(!) than amounts which were actually
given as medication to treat hyperthyroidism (-> over-functioning
thyroid) for
numerous decades - in several countries - specifically to reduce thyroid
activity! [(2 -10 mg NaF/day => 0.9mg - 4.5mg F-)] (19,20,21,22)

In the 1930's May reported having successfully treated 1,158
hyperthyroid
patients within 6 years with either sodium fluoride or fluorothyrosine,
given
per mouth. Among products later released on the market were Pardinon and
Tyrosin (23, 24). Checking an older Merck Index will verify this
information.(25) Gorlizer von Mundy treated patients for more than 30
years
in baths containing HF (30ccHF in 200 l water). [So we absorb fluoride
through our baths and showers.] Later fluorides were deemed not
"reliable
enough" to be recommended as an antithyroid (26).
