This story was also aired on a Toronto radio station, and I am trying to
find out the source of the story. I heard it while packing up to return
from a cottage and wasn't able to call the station until the following day
when they no longer had a record!! But I did find out that it is based on a
poll which appeared in the most recent issue of Working Mother magazine.
http://www.workingmother.com It is an American publication and therefore
the poll seems specific to the American situation, having a checklist for
paid maternity/parental leave, and "lactation programs" among other things.

I would love to know how the story got to the press and have e-mailed the
editors at Working Mother to ask them. It is very curious indeed that both
the radio item and the newspaper story lead off with Bristol Meyers
providing free formula when they did not even make it into the top ten
companies. In fact, I found no mention of free formula in the article, or
even in the clickable link to Bristol Meyers on the website. No answer
from Working Mother so far. Linda, if you have a source for the story --
Associated Press or the writer's name -- please e-mail me.

>Their was as story in the St Petersburg Times about the 100 Best Companies

>I couldn't believe what I was reading....until I went to the Bristol-Meyer

>they have thought about how many more "woman" hours they would have if they
>didn't do that? UGH, too bad it was in the paper-in the business section
>however, so maybe not many people saw it. Anybody know anyone there????
