I talked with a Mom today who has a four month old who has just started
having occasional specks of blood in her BM. Otherwise baby is healthy and growing
well. Mom had eliminated obvious dairy from her diet but has just realized
how many foods have dairy in them. The baby has been referred to a GI
specialist. Mom wondered how aggressive she needs to be in evaluating this if the
blood is only occasional. Any thoughts?
