Hi All,
it was written:

"Moreover, I had heard from my pedi that in her practice -- in a neighborhood
where a lot of kids are getting varivax -- the cases of chicken pox she has
seen in the last year have been more severe than before there was so much
vaccination; and this month she told me that she has lately seen that
intuition confirmed in the literature. (I didn't ask her for a cite but could
if anyone wanted one.) So we have changed our minds and decided to
vaccinate our kids after all. Just fyi -- (are others seeing this as well,
or have read this?)"

I will not vaccinate my children against chicken pox for a variety of
reasons. The statement above says something else, tho, too.

What I am reading in this is that with so many children fed formula, there
are a lot more children with compromised/fragile immune systems. It only
seems reasonable to me that the cases of chicken pox (or any childhood
disease) are more severe. These children do not have the benefit of the
immune boosters from mothers milk. And I don't see how anyones immune
system can be at its optimum if it never had a good healthy start to begin
with (ie Breastmilk). I would ask this Ped if the children who had these
severe cases of chicken pox were BF or ABM fed (wheter it be currently or as
infants). I'll bet you anything that the vast majority of them were ABM fed.

The other thing, is that there has been an influx of "Horror story/reports"
ads directed at not only the public, but you know, to the Peds as well. It
is MARKETING, folks. Chicken pox is chicken pox, and there are varying
degress of severity. I would hate to vaccinate my child against it at age
4, only to have him suddenly turn up with Chicken pox at age 14 or older(if
we don't re-vaccinate either at all or in time...it has to have a booster in
10yrs, which is what our Ped told us) and really get a bad case and end up
sterile. I watched a 23 yr old man with chicken pox get terribly ill
because he had not had them as a child. Now think about all the adults who
will be getting CP because they didn't think to have their vaccination
"boosted".

You want to talk experiments...not only are we experimenting on our children
by feeding them ABM, but we are also immunizing them when they are very
young and have no immune systems to deal with the onslaught of vaccinations
that are thrust into their bodies. Sure, BF babies may fair better, but
their immune system is also very immature. There have been reporsted
studies done that are now saying how Drs have known for years that the
measles vaccine does not "take" in infants under the age of 6 months. (I
think it was 6 months, I can't find the article I read this in...) So if it
doesn't "take" then why are we putting this stuff into our infants bodies?
Why not wait until their systems can manage it and it will be effective?
What is the combination of ABM and too early vaccinations doing to our
society's immune systems? Also, there is no standard of measurement for the
doseages of each "lot" of a particular vaccine. What you got last
vaccination may not be as strong or may be stronger than what you get at the
next vaccination. We won't even go into the OPV....

I am not against vaccinating, just to let you know. I am for informed
choice, and correct information.
I apologize for this being slightly off topic...
