I would be asking myself: "OK, where's the 3rd one?" Anyone in health
care knows that things tend to occur in 3s. Everytime I see something I
haven't seen in awhile or do not see that often, I almost always end up
having a couple more cases of the same type come along in a short period of
time. Seems to particularly be true of clefts - I will see one and two
more are guaranteed to show up within the next few weeks or months!
I think I tend to agree with the literature in regards to hypoplasia - it
is rare. I think you got (un)lucky to have two cases come to you in the
space of a month.
Good luck to these mothers.

P.S. Thanks to Nancy Mohrbacher and Kathy Kendall-Tackett for the
excellent one-day conference they did on Saturday. Well worth giving up a
Saturday for.
