I have been reading for awhile now but have never posted (thanks so much
for all the great reading and food for thought though!).

I did feel like I needed to post to this just to heartily agree!

The focus has become so much about breastmilk that we're missing probably
the most important part! Even the mothers who do breastfeed often
don't "get it" -- and are looking to breastfeed the same way you would bottle
feed. My new motto in our mothers group is that nursing is about so much
more than milk transfer. What's great is that this applies equally to the
mother who is supplementing so much that she wonders if its all worth it to
continue and for the exclusive breastfeeding mother who hasn't made the leap
yet to all the nursing can be for her and her baby.
