Well done to those groups who refuse to allow Medela to participate in their events and give sponsorship.
A united stand globally can only help.

In Australia and New Zealand, some significant breastfeeding organisations justify taking sponsorship on the grounds that the sponsor is Medela's agent, not Medela, which is pure rubbish. The trade displays and literature look exactly like a Medela stand anywhere in the world.

These organisations include an ILCA affiliate (the NZ Lactation Consultants), despite ILCA's position (and the statement that affiliates should adhere to ILCA policy) and the College of Midwives Australia who administer Baby Friendly here.... and maybe more.

Subject: Re: Medela and the Code

I continue to be very disappointed in Medela for not following the code,
puts us in a very difficult place. We are having a Baby Fair next month, we
will use nothing from Medela for it, instead another company will be there;
one that is code compliant.
