I was told by a M*d*la customer service rep only three days
ago that the PNS pump *is* a hospital grade pump and virtually identical to
the L*ct*na S*l*ect. I must admit I am skeptical about this. I asked
M*d*la to send me some specific product information about this pump so I
could make an evaluation. I got the packet yesterday and all it contained
were service manuals and sell sheets. Not much help! Has anyone else had
trouble getting information from the company or could this be an oversight?

I am concerned about this because I am working with a mother who had a
c-section at 36 weeks due to the baby's life threatening birth defects.
(The child was born with an open abdominal cavity and intestines and liver
outside the body.) The baby will need multiple surgeries over a two-month
period
before she can take anything by mouth. The mom bought a PNS pump
because the LC at the hospital highly recommended it. I felt uncomfortable
questioning that recommendation, but I feel that this mom needs a Cl*ss*c
or *at least* a L*ct*na and I shared my concerns with her. She plans to
continue to use the PNS.
