This survey of fees is only a collection of data, provided voluntarily by
lactation consultants.  It is not formalization in any way.  It may be that
insurance companies will begin covering fees and participating more
directly with lactation consultants, but, as always, this would be the
prerogative of individual lactation consultants.

The survey will be designed in such a way to reflect each geographic area
so that we have information that pertains directly to our own areas.  While
we all may have an idea of the range of fees in our given areas, this
survey will give more concrete data.

It is important to understand that this survey will not be conducted by the
government.  It will be conducted by us for us.  The US government is
merely sanctioning it and saying that it does not violate US antitrust law.
