I've been called in to help a mom who had a 35 weeker who as yet has not
been to breast.  She delivered on the weekend and the nurses at hosp.
have had her start pumping while babe is being gavaged.  She's tried to
pump 5-6 times and every time her nipples start bleeding.  No open areas
between pumpings, but when she pumps, the pain is excruciating and then
they bleed.  Mom has a history of eczem, but states that this never
happened with her other child.  Baby has no interest at breast yet
despite trials with and without an SNS.  Mom has tried manual and
hospital grade elctric pumps.  Any suggestions would be greatly
appreciated
