Dear Lactnetters

Today a woman was induced that has Cystic Fibrosis. She is planning to
breastfeed. One of the perinatal nurses told me that breast milk has to be
tested for sodium content before actually nursing. My research talks about
the possibility of breastfeeding compromising an already "compromised" woman,
but not about blanketly testing breastmilk for sodium levels. Does anyone
have updated info about this?
