Gadolinium is *not* radioactive.  It is listed in Hale as
"Gadopentetate".  Not only does it have a short half life, but it also
has an oral bioavailability of 0.8% (this I didn't know).

Sorry, the RN is wrong.  Sorry, she should produce evidence that
breastfeeding is not safe.

Hale refers to a study by Rofsky which says that the baby would absorb
0.013 micromol of gadolinium in 24 hours.  Then, they go on to say the
baby should stop breastfeeding for 24 hours.  AAARGH!!!  I wrote them
several years questioning this, but did not get the courtesy of a
response.
