Hello Lactneters--
I have permission to post; I have client who is 37 weeks pregnant and has been diagnosed with a tumor in her pituitary gland (micro adenoma). She reports that her breasts feel engorged and leak. When she hand expresses for comfort, she can collect about 15 mls of what seems to be mature milk. She asked if she could collect and freeze this milk. I don't see a problem with this, but have little experience in this situation.
Any peices of information or wisdom I should share with her? She is unsure what the course of action regarding the tumor will be after her baby is born.
Thank you for your wisdom.
Amy Bohler, IBCLC
