 reaction for a "dead baby" when lactation does not follow birth, I would
 think it helpful to support the mother's normal body functions.  The
 problem is convincing a cardiology team of the value of breastfeeding. >>
Good point Anne, and since nursing has been found to promote relaxation and
lower blood pressure then it might have real physiologic advantage for a mom
who was committed to trying it before, as you said. There might be a use for
all the technology to take the moms BP, or watch her Oxygen status, or
whatever after pumping and'or nursing, and see exactly whether there are REAL,
as opposed to dogmatic or ignorance-based assumptions on breastfeeding not
being appropriate in her situation or not...
