Howdy,
I think it ironic that two of the posts concerned about code violations
at conferences actually expressed acceptance of code violating companies
to exhibit if they "think pumps rather than bottles" about the company
or if the company is marketing "bottlefeeding breastmilk" or if they are
"marketing their bottles and teats as a vessel to feed expressed
breastmilk to infants" or whether we "like the pumps" or not.

The code does not separate violators who are bottle or formula
companies, "first and foremost" and exempt primarily pump companies-
they prohibit the marketing regardless of the company. Therefore
violators are violators and we shouldn't rationalize otherwise.

If we are going to accept code violators we might as well allow formula
companies to exhibit. It reminds me of a junior high joke that goes like
this:
Boy: Would you go to bed with me for a million dollars?
        Girl: Sure
        Boy: How 'bout $10?
Girl: No way- what do you think I am?????
Boy: We've already established what you are, now we are just
haggling over the price.

If we establish that they are code violators, shouldn't we refuse to do
business with them? No exhibits, no advertising, no endorsement by
association. Cathy Liles
