Dear Barbara:

How wonderful that this mother has a post-partum helper who's
sympathetic to her goal of getting the babies back to the breast. She
really needs someone there to applaud the work that she's already doing
to
provide her milk. You can emphasize how the the relaxed skin-to-skin
contact she's giving the babies with the co-bathing and all is an
excellent first step toward getting the babies back to the breast --
breastfed or not, that kind of contact and stimulation is just what
those babies need, especially after the separation in these early weeks.
The task ahead could be long and uncertain, and it might give her heart
to feel she's already making positive steps.

Getting an LC to gauge the exact situation and provide on-site help and
support is essential. In the Lactnet archives, you'll find lots of
useful posts on getting babies back to the breast (though you might have
to twiddle around about finding the right search term). There's also at
least one excellent article on the LLL site:

In getting the baby back to the breast, it helps to have a range of
ideas, since you can't predict what will be the key with any particular
baby (no less three of them!)

If you, or the mother, does a search on the LLL site with "triplets,"
she'll find information and mothers' stories that might also help.
