Amy has described a marketing tactic whereby purchase of a baby item in a
grocery store results in formula coupons being printed at check out. NABA
picked up this practice during the Code monitoring we did in 2000-2001 and
published it in "Selling Out Mothers and Babies." Register your complaint with the
manager of the grocery store and with customer service at the corporate level.
As always, send any materials that market formula in any way to NABA. If the
coupon contains false and misleading advertising that is deceptive enough to
cause a mother to purchase the product, file a complaint with the Federal
Trade Commission at _www.ftc.gov_ (http://www.ftc.gov) .
