First, I would really like to thank everyone who responded to me by private
e-mail (eg. Denise and Annelies, Dr. Hale) through this way, because I
couldn't find the time yet to respond to you all.

Here's my opinion to the Milk for Schools question:

In the Netherlands it's common for schools to hand out milk to the children
every day.
I remember myself getting schoolmilk when I was young (ages ago 'sigh').
Every day the milkman came with boxes full of little blue milkcartons.
There was a cartoon on the backside of them with a hare on it.

Now, over 20 years later, my 7 year old daughter still gets her schoolmilk
everyday.
And yes, they are still blue only now there's another cartoon on it.
The parents decide whether they want their children to get it, or not.
The price is very low, about approx. 40 % of the normal milkprices and one
can choose from different kinds of milk, even chocolatemilk.

That's how it works here, and I think it's a well-working initiative.
Hope my response is of help to you.
