Nursing is the most efficient way to remove the milk and prevent further
complications in that breast.  One sure way to progress to an abcess is
pump instead of nurse!  The infection is usually in the tissues between the
ducts and pus doesn't usually flow out with the milk.  Years ago when I
had similar problems, in my convoluted thinking :-) I figured the
antibiotics in the milk would cancel out any infection in the milk :-)
