i agree, it is women who convince other women they "need" epidurals. a client
told me "i had the perfect birth, i had the epidural before i had any pain,
it was a wonderful experience." i did restrain myself from saying, "but you
didn't *have* a birth. you got robbed!"

hey, not you rob.

and jean is entirely right about the difficulties of being a nurse,
especially those 12 hours shift. mothers who are nurses often have some of
the most incredible difficulties being able to pump while working those
schedules.
