Gee, maybe it's MY favorite part because I get to hold each baby. So far,
ALLLLLLLL of the babies are absolutely thriving....(because they have the
information and support) they need. Our culture does not give mother's
enough good feedback for breastfeeding. This is a way that they leave
feeling they are doing a GOOD job!!!!!! OF course, they get a lot from me!!!!!

Typically the babies are seen at one week and then for "shots." Perhaps at
1, 2,4,6 months unless they are ill. I am sure it varies from practice to
practice.
I never thought of it as competing...they just like knowing....and it's
been fun. I take it back that it is their favorite part.... also could be a
way of catching a problem early on. I use the MED---baby weigh scale so it
is very accurate. Should I reconsider doing this? I get harrassed if I
walk in with out the scale so I am not sure the mom's will let me stop!
