When we get lice, I comb and comb and comb. But be carefull which comb you use,
on this picture
http://infectieziekten.rivmvoorlichtingscentrum.nl/site_files/imgc/custom/46add9e7a3386.jpg
the left will only remove adult lice, the right one will also remove tiny lice and nits. It is best if
you use a mixture of 1:1:1 of water, vinigar and cheap hair conditioner as this loosens the
nits, but you can also comb dry hair.
The comb Judy mentions http://headlice.org/catalog/index.htm looks good, I use the Nisska
comb http://www.nisska.com/bilder/nisska.jpg
Nitcomb M2 is also a good comb.
I slip a little bit of gauze (I just cut a gauze pad in pieces) over the comb, so you can easily
remove the nits by slipping it off again.

For me combing is the only thing that works. The first time DD had lice, we tried a chemical
shampoo and a) the lice still lived when I combed afterwards and b) my head itched for
weeks, months afterwards, so it must be horrible for your skin.
