A LLLL friend just had a miscarriage and Dr prescribed methergine to help
return uterus to 'normal.' She is nursing a 2 year old. She is not
subscribed to Lactnet but searched the archives already, and she asked me
to ask here.

Is methergine safe while nursing? How much gets into the milk? Is it even
necessary, given that she is nursing, wouldn't that do the trick? At this
point most of the tissue has passed and the bleeding is light. Thanks for
any info.
