This is my first post to Lactnet, so "hi" . . .

Did anyone happen to catch "Everybody Loves Raymond" on Monday night and
"Third Rock from the Sun" last night? Both had great references to bf. On
"Raymond," Patricia Heaton's character, Debra, was debating whether or not
to get a "boob job" (their words), and when discussing it with Ray (this is
a nutshell version), she stated that she had "had three children," and that
hers had been "working breasts!" Now, I know that it may sound like she
was pointing to bf as the cause of her considering implants, but if you
watched the entire show, you know that this wasn't the case! Can't recap
the entire 1/2 hour here, though . . .

On last night's "Third Rock," which was the continuation of one of the
character's having an "alien baby," the cast walks into their kitchen to
discover the new mom breastfeeding her newborn. French Stewart's
character, Harry, leans over, takes a look, and says "So THAT'S what those
are for"!! Indeed!

Two great sitcom presentations of breastfeeding! Thought everyone would
like to know--watch for reruns!
