Kathleen writes of a study that concludes:
<As birthing partners can improve the experience of women giving birth, Dr
Keogh suggested: "Rather than removing them from the operating theatre
altogether, it would be better to target the emotional well-being of the
birth
partner to help reduce the anxiety and fear experienced by the mother."

Duh! Talk about re-inventing the wheel! Have they never heard of childbirth
education classes???
Probably would need to be considerably modified if they don't want couples
to get any good news about natural processes, but the principle is the same!
